As Army veterans, each of the members of our founding team has had experience in the difficulty of finding the right childcare provider. All too commonly, deployed soldiers and their families struggle to find availability, and even when they can find it, some families still feel that they haven’t yet found the best fit for their child. As the years have passed, the need for high-quality childcare in Colorado Springs has only increased – both for military and non-military families alike.
Havenstone’s story began when one of our founders – with a young daughter, and a son on the way – identified a need for childcare to which he’d feel comfortable entrusting his own children. Moreover, as a longtime resident of Old Colorado City, he had an idea to meet this need within our own community, by restoring a historic church on the corner of Pikes Peak and 30th street. Although childcare would be a new experience for all of us, we quickly got excited about the opportunity to meet a big need in our community, while also breathing life back into a structure with deep roots in our history.
It’s our objective to create not just a childcare center, but to build a secure, inspiring, and purpose-built environment that stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the very best in the nation. From the design of our facility to the character and training of our teachers and staff, it is our aim to build a safe haven where security and curiosity meet, and where families know they are choosing the very best.
